BASIC RECIPE FOR QUINOA
Basic Recipe:
1 cup Quinoa
2 & 1/4 cup water
Bring water to boil,
add red quinoa,
once it is boiling, turn off heat, cover and let sit for 10-16 minutes and then you’re ready to put it into your favorite dishes.
“Cous Cous” Recipe:
1 cup quinoa
2 ¼ cup water
Salt to taste
Butter
Olive Oil
- Place 1 ¼ cup of water in a saucepan. Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil and 1 teaspoon of salt, or to taste, and bring to the boil.
- Stir and pour in 1 cup of Quinoa. Cover and allow to simmer for 6 minutes.
- Add 1 teaspoon of butter and heat again on very low heat for 2 minutes while stirring with a fork to separate the grains.
